ELN SETUP SCENARIOS

(A) This program is installed locally. The ELN is also on a local hard drive.

(B) This program is installed locally. The ELN is on a remote network computer.

CONTROLS

Controls serve for these two purposes:

1. Setting working directory for unencrypted Electronic lab notebook. A path (folder) where all ELN files will be kept can be selected. Both local and network locations can be used.

2. Setting encrypted ELN directory. This involves primarily setting TrueCrypt integration controls (see Data encryption with TrueCrypt section).

The use of encryption does not decrease ELN performance and provides high-end Open Source, bit-level protection.
