Sequence alignments are completely & freely editable. Any letters or selections can be simply typed in, sequences can be deleted, inserted and adjusted as they would in a text editor. The edited sequence alignments can be exported to FASTA files and re-aligned with MUSCLE.

Edited sequence alignments can also be saved as projects (*.cpbd) or
exported to aligned FASTA (*.fst) format.


In addition, alignment editor has these features

1. Vertical deletion or replacement of selected residues:

        

(replace       "..._________."        with       "EXAMPLE")



2. Graphic guides that help trace sequence positions on the screen.
Guides are vertical and horizontal lines that can be freely dragged
